A little outline:
- What nation has gods as close to it as our God is to us?
- Humbly welcome the Word that has the power to save you.
- It is what comes from within that defiles a man.
What comes out of us doesn’t defile, but it betrays something that lives deep within me that is defiling me.
At the same time, God has come so close to us…so close that we can eat him.
How do we reconcile these two…being defiled on the one hand and God being so close to us on the other hand?
Humbly welcome the Word that has the power to save you. Growth in holiness requires humility and the suffering the coming of the Truth, Jesus, into our hearts.
There is a way out of the things that defile us. His name is Jesus.
